Game: Drawn to Life.
Age Rating: E-mild cartoon violence. Though there's death, it's not really bloody. Realy though, how much violence did you expect from a game about cute little anthro bunnies?
My Rating: 9.5/10.
Genre: Platformer with some shooting and jumping.
System: Nintendo DS.
This little game gets so little attention, but I was just blown away by it. Most of the characters where both adorable and original, bar one of the two main ones, which I found bland. The story was lively and rewarding, and the creators of it must have had tremendous passion when making it.
The only two things that irked me about this game:
1) The boss fights where both underpowered and dubious. The player often has to think deep to figure out how to defeat a boss, as no obvious answer is given. Once you've figured it out, though, the bosses are pathetically easy.
2) The drawing aspect could have been done better. The tools you where given where similar to a poorer version of paint, and that's rather scary if you think about it. The ability to make drawings more natural looking would have been nice.

Game: Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia.
Age Rating: E-mild cartoon violence, obviously. This game was particularly tame, though. Some female characters did have light fanservice, but that was in the first game too.
My rating: 9.9/10.
Genre: RPG, again, obviously.
System: ...Nintendo DS.
I enjoyed this just as much as the first game, but it was very different. For one, it was quite a bit longer, had more Pokemon, and more characters and more complicated missions. It put a more lighthearted, goofier spin on the first game, which was rather serious. I also liked the ability to pick more then one starter Pokemon.
While the plot was good, it did lean on rather predicatable. There where a couple plot twists, but none that had a huge impact on the story.
Another thing is, two main side characters are established while the player is in school, but after graduation one becomes extreamly minor, while the other doesn't start to become important again until near the end of the game.
