PostSubject: Points system.   Mon Jun 23, 2008 6:23 pm

Hello all.

With the help of the Tips & Tricks division in The Forum of the Forums, I've created a points system.

____________________

What is a points system?

Well, the points system is a thing where, if you participate, and if you participate enough, you will be able to earn special benefits (which I'll explain later).

____________________

How do you gain points?

To gain points, you must do certain things:
1. Recruit new members. (25 points per member; don't make a sock puppet)
2. Donate at least $5 or more. (50 points per $5; also earn a Alto Mare Contributor image under your name)
3. Post more than 100 times in a month (12 points; no double posting/posting just because)
4. Make creative posts, such as good artwork and writing. (5-12 points; depends on effort; 0 points for no effort)
5. Participate in the various events that we have here in Alto Mare. (various points)

If you're running a shop, how do you charge points from other users?

You'll have to ask an admin for assistance on that.. but since all of the admins on here are on pretty frequently, there shouldn't be any delay.

Actually, edited so mods can edit the field. If anyone thinks this was a bad move, I'll change it back to admins-only.

Just a question: how many points are given to a person who just joined?

Alright, thanks a lot Tina ;D . It'll be a lot easier to run my shop that way (so I won't have to bug an admin to subtract the points)... even though my shop hasn't had a costumer in almost two weeks... >_>;
